Portal Levels

In order to create the levels I looked at Portal 2 levels and extracted elements that were recurrent. I noticed a lot of levels give the player a sense of proportion due to size. A player feels small in these big levels and it also allows for the player to thoroughly seach for puzzle clues. I also noticed that the level designers do not waist any puzzle items. Most puzzle items have to be reused to solve the puzzle, especially in the more difficult levels.

I tried to bring these elements into my rooms. The reusability of the puzzle items were brought into the normal and difficult levels.

I also experimented with puzzle items to create levels that use the puzzle items in a different way than Portal 2 does but would still fit in Portal 2.

sita_level3 is an easy level. The level can be downloaded in Steam, in Portal 2’s workshop via the following link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=254490110

Sita_level4 has a normal difficulty level. The level can be downloaded in Steam, in Portal 2’s workshop via the following link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=254771999

sita_level6 can be solved at the end in two different ways. A video of a walkthrough of the level can be viewed in the upper left video and is a difficult level. The level can be downloaded in Steam, in Portal 2’s workshop via the following link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=255464520

The level: sita_level5 has a normal to difficult difficulty level. The level can be downloaded in Steam, in Portal 2’s workshop via the following link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=254773435
